Quick answer
Start with the game's Photo Mode, available through the pause-menu route suggested by players, and check your Snapshot objective afterward. The official FAQ confirms Photo Mode. The Snapshot discussion suggests using it from the pause menu.
A reported method to try
Players have reported that standing at the quest marker and adjusting Photo Mode until a camera symbol appears can make the picture count. We have not reproduced this method, and the discussion does not provide a stable, verified walkthrough. Treat it as a tentative framing check rather than a guaranteed fix.
- Read the active Snapshot objective and go to its marked area.
- Open the pause menu and look for Photo Mode.
- Use the camera controls shown in your current build. Slowly vary the angle while checking for an objective-related symbol.
- Use the in-game capture control, exit and check whether the journal advanced.
We do not prescribe a keyboard shortcut or controller button: those bindings have not been established by our sources.
Why did my picture not count?
| Check | What to try |
|---|---|
| You used a desktop or Steam screenshot shortcut | Try the game's own Photo Mode capture instead |
| You are near, but not at, the objective | Recheck the active marker and objective text |
| The camera symbol never appears | Change framing carefully; the reported trigger is still unverified here |
| The quest still does not advance | Record the quest text and game version before treating it as a bug |
These are troubleshooting checks, not guarantees about quest scripting. We have not verified a target building, exact angle, reward or a universal fix.
